"The Wave Within" – A Story of Beauty After the Storm

This one-of-a-kind broken glass window was born from a heartfelt request by a dear friend. She asked me to create a piece that would capture the essence of what she calls the “wave within”—a powerful symbol of resilience and renewal.

She wanted a wave—not just any wave, but one that speaks to the way life ebbs and flows. A reminder that while storms may shape us, they do not define us. It's not about the hardship itself, but about how we rise afterward. And in that recovery, there is strength. There is grace. There is beauty.

When this piece found its way into the hands of actress Jane Seymour as a gift, I was both flattered and deeply moved by her reaction. That moment reminded me that broken things, when seen in HIS light, can become whole again—stronger, more meaningful, and more beautiful than ever before.

An out-of-town customer asked for a “Chunky Chicken” like her friend’s—but better. I was thrilled to take on the challenge and crafted her a custom Funky Chicken with extra flair. When I sent her the video reveal, she was over the moon!

Coordinating the delivery was a little trickier. We hadn’t met, and her schedule was packed. When she casually mentioned arriving at work around 10 AM, I (in true to my well known no-filter fashion) joked, “What kind of employee rolls in that late?!” She laughed and explained she often works late nights.

We eventually set a time and she gave me her work address. Out of habit (and thanks to my background), I looked her up—and discovered she was the Assistant City Manager of a nearby city! Oopsie My Big Mouth.

Slightly panicked, I carefully wrapped the Chunky Chicken in protective paper and “please-don’t-cut-yourself” string. At her request, I unwrapped it in front of her team—it was a full-on Cimply Broken glass chunky chicken debut!

She loved it, and I had an absolute blast bringing her vision to life.
